Brandy Bailey and Dustin Dougherty plan to be married Sept. 12, 2009, at 8:30 p.m. at Riverside Park in La Grande.

A reception will follow.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Carla Bailey of Caldwell, Idaho, and the late Jerry Bailey, a longtime Baker City resident. She has two degrees from Portland State University – political science in 2005 and social science in 2007 – and earned a master’s in teacher education in 2009 from Eastern Oregon University. She is licensed to teach social studies at the middle and high school levels.

The groom is the son of Richard and Loreen Dougherty of Tacoma, Wash. He graduated from Walla Walla University with a bachelor’s of business administration with concentrations in finance and accounting.
