Robert Ingebritson Jr.
Robert Eugene Ingebritson Jr., 48, of Baker City died Nov. 16, 2008, at his home.
His memorial service will be scheduled later.
Robert was born on Oct. 26, 1960, at Broken Arrow, Okla., to Robert Eugene Sr. and Bonnie Ruth Stockwell Ingebritson. Robert worked as a general contactor and also worked in offshore drilling in Texas before moving to Baker City two years ago to be with his mother.
Survivors include his longtime partner, Rhonda Baldwin, and her daughter, Hannah Ruth Baldwin; his mother, Bonnie Kemry of Baker City; sisters,Vicki Wood and her husband, Andy, of McMinnville, and Jennilynn Thornton and her husband, Dale, of Yamhill; brothers, Herb Kemry Jr. of Turner and Jonathan Kemry and his wife, Michelle, of Turner; uncles, Bob Stockwell and his wife, Rolyne, of Baker City, and Cleo Stockwell and his wife, Sandy, of Carlton; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Maureen Mengis
Maureen Keller Mengis, 59, a former Haines resident, died Nov. 15, 2008, in Portland of lung cancer, surrounded by her family and friends.
Her memorial service will be at Zellers Chapel of the Roses, N.E. 21st and Broadway in Portland. Family and friends are invited to stay for a luncheon afterward. Everyone also is welcome to follow to Aaron and Chelsea Clyde’s home for continued fellowship and sharing.
She was born on Oct. 27, 1949, at Baltimore and was raised by Art and Ann Keller at Haines. She was a skilled horseperson and was active in 4-H and rodeo events. She was queen of the Haines Rodeo and participated in Chief Joseph Days at Joseph.
After graduating from high school, Maureen moved to Portland with friends to attend beauty school. She became a hair stylist and many of her customers became lifelong friends.
She married Kevin Mengis in 1969. The couple had three children: Tony, Chris and Chelsea. Throughout her life, Maureen worked hard to support her children and anyone else she thought she could help.
At the time of her death, she had guardianship of her grandson, Chris Jr. She was a warm and generous person with a droll sense of humor, and she will be greatly missed, her family said.
Survivors include her children; a sister, Lois Ward; brother, Richard Baxter; son-in-law, Aaron Clyde; grandchildren, Alicia Mengis Noll, Chris Mengis Jr., Mallory and Quinton Clyde; and countless other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to any US Bank in the name of her grandson, Chris Mengis Jr., to help him pursue the sports his grandmother loved to watch him play.
Timothy Hunt
Timothy Dean Hunt, 47, of Baker City, died Nov. 15, 2008, near Baker City.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1250 Hughes Lane. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Pastor Lennie Spooner will officiate. After the service, friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the Baker Elks Lodge, 1896 Second St.
Tim was born on July 17, 1961, at Baker City to Heber and Doris Rohner Hunt. He was the youngest of five children. He attended Baker schools and was a Baker High School graduate.
Family members said he made an attempt or two to leave his hometown in search of “bigger and better,” but soon realized that the small town life was where his heart was and he came home to Baker City for good.
Tim prided himself on his work ethic and his ability to be a good provider for his family, they said. His wife and children meant everything to him.
Tim loved working in his yard planting flowers and feeding his flock of winter birds. He loved playing with his beloved dogs, Maggie and Tegan, and scratching the ears of his kitties, Amos and Abbi.
He loved going for motorcycle rides with his friends and just hanging out at home with his wife and kids. He loved spending time at his cabin on the Brownlee Reservoir.
Tim had many friends and no enemies. “He touched the lives of everyone who knew him and he will be missed more than words can ever explain,” family members said.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy, and his daughter, Deana, of Baker City; his son, Tyler, of Boise; his brother, Raymond Hunt, and his wife, Robin, of Dublin, Calif.; sisters, Judy Sherwood of Longview, Wash., and Jan Hunt of Baker City; his uncle, Chuck Rohner of Baker City; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; and his sister, Marcia.

Christia Scotton
Christia Marie Scotton, 27, of Baker City, died Nov. 15, 2008, near Baker City.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gray’s West and Co. Pioneer Chapel, 1500 Dewey Ave. Elder Blaine Kenny of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate. There will be a potluck reception afterward at the home of Curt and Kathy Knox, 921 Ruby St., in Haines.
Christia was born on Aug. 20, 1981, at Centralia, Wash. Her parents are Curt and Katherine Knox of Haines. She was a 2000 Baker High School graduate.
Christia worked in home care and hospice and for Mountain Valley Mental Health with the elderly and disabled. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
At the age of 19, she met Zack Myers who was 21 at the time. During their eight years together, they had two children: a son, Gryphin Emanuel Myers, now age 4, and a daughter, Rylee Elise Myers, 2. The thing she loved most about life was her children, family members said. They did everything as a family.
Survivors include her spouse, Zack Myers of Baker City; her children, Gryphin and Rylee of Baker City; her parents, Curt and Katherine Knox of Haines; a sister, Carolann Brown and her husband, Josh, of Haines; a brother, Bill Sanchez of Casper, Wyo.; her grandparents, Carrie Jean Scotton of Washington and Bob Knox of Haines; and numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles and nephews.
