Sara Jury and Aaron Lordeman were married Jan. 3, 2008, at Yuma, Ariz.

The bride is the daughter of Walt and Kitty Jury of Baker City.

The groom is the son of Mike Lordeman of Lacey, Wash., and Joni Lordeman of Moorhead, Minn.

The wedding was in the chapel on the Yuma Marine Corps Air Station at Yuma. Friends joined the family for a reception after the ceremony.

Special guests were the bride’s brother, Tom Jury, home on special leave from the U.S. Army. He’s currently stationed in Iraq. Other special guests were the groom’s grandparents, Richard and Joyce Lordeman of Moorhead, Minn.

Sara’s matron of honor was her friend and fellow Marine, Krissy DeWeese of Yuma. Aaron’s best man was his brother, Justin Lordeman of Moorhead, Minn.

Many uniforms were visible, with the bride and groom both being Marines, and the bride’s brother and groom’s father being in the Army. Walt Jury escorted his daughter down the aisle in his Army uniform, too.

Sara wore a dress designed and made by her mom, and carried white roses and wore her cowboy boots.

The Lordemans are making their first home in Yuma, where Sara is stationed with the Marines.

The couple are planning a trip later this summer to Minnesota to visit family, and then will travel to the Baker City area in the fall.
