Jessica Cook and Ryan Grover have announced their engagement, and plan to wed Aug. 20, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church in Baker City.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Winona Brown. She lives at Haines and attends Baker High School.

Grover is the son of Annette and Jim Grover of Baker City.

For the wedding ceremony, Nina Page, Jessica’s friend and adopted sister, will be maid of honor. Bridesmaids will be Christina Davis and Alicia Roe, both best friends of the bride.

Best man will be Lee Carpenter, the groom’s best friend. Groomsmen will be Gerald Roe and Zak, friends of both the bride and groom.

The flowers will be roses and carnations, and the colors will be apple red, white and black for the tuxedos.
