Chad McCann and Emily Short were married on July 28, 2007, at Camp Lutherwood in Cheshire.

They were married by Chad’s father, Pastor Gordon McCann, in an outdoor ceremony. The bride’s wedding party included Lily (Shipsey) Wittich and Mandy Schommer.

The couple honeymooned on the Oregon coast.

Emily is the daughter of Jim Short of Haines and Pam Short of Brookings. She graduated from Baker High School in 2002 and from Pacific Lutheran University in 2006 with degrees in biology and history. She is an admission counselor at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash.

Chad is the son of Gordon and Sandy McCann of Hopewell. He is in his final year of earning a doctor of physical therapy at University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, and also serves as a part-time graduate resident director on its campus, where the couple reside.
