Faye Hannah
Faye Helen Sheehy Hannah, 74, of Union, a former Baker County resident, died Nov. 12 while working for The Salvation Army World Services in Vryheid, South Africa. Her memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Union.
Ms. Hannah was born Aug. 16, 1932, to Hugh Sheehy and Beth Critchlow Sheehy Fisher in Baker City. She was raised at Durkee and Baker City until age 10, when the family moved to California.
In her capacity as a public health administrator, she worked on projects in Central America, the Middle East and Africa. She was also the social service coordinator for the La Grande Salvation Army Food Bank.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Bud Gassett of Gig Harbor, Wash.; her companion, William Albright of Baker City; her children and their spouses, Marie and Gary Harmer of Union, JoAnne Hannah and Gary Yarbrough and BriAnna and Ray Burton, all of Sacramento, Calif., Jeannette and James Benton of Baker City, Julie and Richard Walker of Antelope, Calif., Kevin and Mary Hannah of Carmichael, Calif., and Helen Hannah of Elk Grove, Calif.; 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren, Christina Law and Michael Benton.

Conner Dykstra
Conner Rupert Dykstra, infant son of Vern and Savannah Dykstra, died Nov. 21, 2006, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise.
His graveside funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Hope Cemetery in the Baby Hearts Section. Pastor Mark Opperman of the Christian Life Center in Elgin will officiate. There will be a reception afterward at the home of Lynda and Dean.
Visitations were Wednesday at Gray’s West andamp; Co.
Survivors include his parents, Vern and Savannah Dykstra of Boise; a brother, Brandon Dykstra of Boise; grandparents, Lynda and Dean Amundson of Baker City and Rupert and Vernette Dykstra of Boise; and many other family members.
