Barbara Beeson
Barbara Lee Rayborn Snyder Beeson, 67, a former Baker City resident, died Nov. 17, 2006, at Boise after a valiant struggle with cancer.
Her funeral will be at noon Wednesday, at Providence City Cemetery in River Heights, Utah. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North in Logan, Utah. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com.
Barbara was born on March 8, 1939, at Portland, the second child of Norman and Carol Rayborn. The family lived at Portland until moving to Baker City where Barbara graduated from Baker High School.
Barbara lived in many cities throughout the United States while following her husband’s military service. She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1959.
Barbara married Walter W. Snyder on Oct. 17, 1958, at Fairfield, Calif. They had four children. They were later divorced.
She married Russell andquot;Budandquot; Beeson on April 16, 1976, at Baker City. They had one child together. They later divorced as well.
Barbara was an active member of the Caldwell 5th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Caldwell, Idaho, at the time of her death. She loved doing genealogy work and searching out her family members. She also loved working at the LDS temples.

Survivors include four children, Barry J. Snyder of Logan, Utah, Kelly J. Snyder (Vicci) of Meridian, Idaho, Cynthia M. Tuttle (Brian) of Clearfield, Utah, and Douglas M. Beeson (Jennifer) of Boise; and several grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her eldest son, David William Snyder.
Michael Fordice
Michael C. Fordice, 42, of Salem, a former Baker City resident, died Nov. 17, 2006, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Burns Mortuary in Hermiston. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday at North Powder.
Mike was born on April 23, 1964, at Baker City to Willard and Judy Fordice. He was a 1982 Hermiston High School graduate. He married Becky Bunch on Oct. 12, 1985. They were later divorced.
Mike was a very talented mechanic and car and motorcycle painter. He was known to many as andquot;Torch Fordiceandquot; for the realistic flames he could paint by hand on vehicles and motorcycles.
Mike was also known as andquot;Batmanandquot; in the motorcycle racing community. Mike and his family were very proud of his many accomplishments. He was division champion and qualified to race at nationals in Pomona, Calif. Mike would want to be remembered for his work and to let his many paint schemes and racing titles speak for him.
Mike was a member of the Hermiston Eagles Lodge, No. 2909. He was extremely close to his two nephews, Dusty and Tyler Fordice.
Survivors include his parents, Willard and Judy Fordice; his brother, Robert andquot;Bobandquot; Fordice; his sister-in-law, Di Fordice; nephews, Dusty Fordice and Tyler Fordice; grandmothers, Lela Fordice of Baker City and Grace Rowett of North Powder; and several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
