La Grande scored two goals in each half Thursday on the way to a 4-0 decision over Baker in an Eastern Oregon League soccer match at the Baker Sports Complex.
Baker played evenly in the midfield against the defending EOL champions for most of the first half.
But La Grande broke the scoring ice with a shot from near the penalty arc.
La Grande increased its lead to 2-0 before halftime, scoring after a scramble in front of Baker goal keeper Bjorn Boyer after a corner kick. Boyer, who appeared to be screened on the play, didnt react quickly to the kick.
Baker continued to play solid midfield defense in the second half, but couldnt manage much of an offensive attack. The Bulldogs managed only two or three shots on goal in the match.
